Hello! My name is Amanda Andrade-Rhoades and I'm a freelance photojournalist based in Washington D.C. covering everything from Capitol Hill to cowgirls. My work frequently appears in The Washington Post and the Associated Press, among others.

Along with my colleagues at The Washington Post, I was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Public Service journalism for coverage of the January 6 insurrection. Additionally, I’m a member of Women Photograph, Diversify Photo, the National Press Photographers Association and I served as the treasurer from Women Photojournalists of Washington from 2019-2021. I also hold both U.S. Capitol and White House hard passes.
