Hello! My name is Amanda Andrade-Rhoades and I’m a staff photographer at the San Francisco Standard. Previously I was a freelance photojournalist based in Washington D.C. covering everything from Capitol Hill to cowgirls. My work frequently appeared in The Washington Post, Reuters and the Associated Press, among others.
Along with my colleagues at The Washington Post, I was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Public Service journalism for coverage of the January 6 insurrection. Additionally, I’m a member of Women Photograph, Diversify Photo, the National Press Photographers Association and I served as the treasurer from Women Photojournalists of Washington from 2019-2021.
I’m fluent in English and have a working conversational fluency in Spanish. I am also part 107 drone certified.
